I was on tv today!!!

so this isn't really a sports commentary post...so people, dont worry :P

Last night, I was able to attend the Stanford/Cal basketball game with Xian and his friends. Stanford played decently...Cal just played better. Oh how the mighty have fallen...I think it was the first time in a long, long time that Cal beat Stanford at Maples. Oh well...I was on tv...for a couple seconds since we sat right behind the tv commentators.

Here are some pics...

A couple rows in front of me sat Jerry Yang (left), founder of Yahoo, and Jim Plunkett, former Hesimann trophy winner and Superbowl MVP...both alumnuses of Stanford.

We sat right behind the television commentators...and guess who was a commentators?! Former Cardinal coach Mike Montgomery (r) ! He was such a great coach...I wonder what's going through his mind right now. I think something along the lines of this..."Man. What the heck happened to the Cardinals after I left? Why did I go to the NBA and try to coach the Warriors? Why didn't I just stay with Stanford like Coach K stayed with Duke? Why am I unemployed?!"

Today was the first game attended by new football head coach Jim Harbaugh. You can see him in the red vest in the middle of the pic. To his right, is the legendary Bill Walsh, former head coach of the 49ers and the Cardinals...one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Lol...the following picture is awesome. It's a pic of Xian taking a bite out of a stuffed bear (Cal's mascot is the golden bears). During a timeout, the Stanford tree kicked around a stuffed bear across the entire court and stepped on it's head and ripped it apart. Everyone got a piece of the bear :P
